Panaque royal

Peaceful fish to cohabit with calm species. Installation of a large container with round pebbles. A shelter for the day is preferable but not mandatory. Does not eat aquartic plants but may dig in your substrate. 

One of the more different species of the pleco family. Best kept in an aquarium full of wood, due to wood consisting a large percentage of its diet. Males are identifiable by their spurrs on the side of their head/whiskers.
