Small, hardy and peaceful fish. One of the only barb species that doesn't bother plants. Prefers a dark substrate and a heavy plant cover. Mature males become bright red while females display a vivid orange colouration. Excellent beginner fish.

As with all corydoras species, this corydoras should be maintained in groups of at least four individuals. Good community fish. They prefer tanks with a good plant cover, shady areas and lots of sand to play around in. Overall, an excellent bottom feeder.

Peaceful and helpful shrimp. Translucent body with reddish-brown or olive-green markings. Adaptable to various freshwater aquariums, effectively controlling algae and keeping the tank clean. Can be kept in groups or with peaceful fish.

One of the more popular cichlids. Fairly compatible in a community aquarium. It is best to introduce them young and when other fish have already been introduced. Often able to reproduced in the aquarium.

Like all snails, it is very sensitive to tank pollution. Feeds on algae or plants, or spirulina, as well as any other food that falls to the bottom of the tank. Best known to get very large in size. They tend to lay their eggs outside of the water near the surface of the water. Best avoid soft-leaved aquatic plants.

Carnivorous (mollusquivorous) snail to control the proliferation of other snails. This species is not hermaphroditic and requires a pair to reproduce. Feeds if there are no more snails, flakes, tablets or other food given to the fish.

Peaceful fish, undemanding and very resistant once acclimatized. A small group is ideal in a planted aquarium, with small species of fish. A perfect candadite for a nano aquascape or paladarium. Very active fish that usually sends to shoal with conspecies. Femelles are usually double the size of males and have no colour. 

Quite possibly the most popular livebearer in the aquarium hobby. Numerous strands available, resulting in a wide variety of flashy colours. Prefers cooler water. Should be kept with platies, swordtails, mollies, small tetras and/or rasboras. Guppies do NOT make suitable tankmates for Siamese Fighting Fish.

Poisson grégaire vivace et paisible. Très sociable, sauf les mâles pendant la reproduction. Robuste, il n'a pas d'exigences particulières. Peut vivre dans un bac sans chauffage.
