Large centerpiece plant that should be given lots of space. Root tabs and liquid Iron supplements are a must to keep this plant healthy. Old or damaged leaves should be removed promptly, causing the plant to sprout new leaves from the center of the crown.

This miniature version of the well-known Alternanthera is characterized by compact growth and a slower growth rate. It is particularly suitable for small aquariums or as a foreground plant in larger aquascapes. By careful trimming can you create a dense, red-violet carpet approximately 5 to 10 cm high. High light intensity and addition of CO2 improves the plants growth and overall appearance.

Comme pour toutes les plantes rouges, la coloration est plus intense lorsque l'éclairage l'est aussi. En pinçant la pousse terminale, on coupe le bout pour la transplanter et permettre à la plante-mère d'élargir en se ramifiant.
