La Cryptocoryne Beckettii fait partie de la grande famille des cryptos avec les mêmes spécificités de l'espèce. Elle a cependant l'avantage d'être parmi les plus simples de la famille au niveau de la maintenance dans l'aquarium. Elle est donc abordable même pour les débutants. S'il y a un apport de carbone, un substrat riche et une fertilisation adéquate elle peut vous montrer une croissance régulière et solide. Hormis le sol fertile pour qu'elle y développe un système racinaire important et suffisant pour capter les éléments dont elle a besoin. On peut très bien se dispenser de la diffusion de Co2. Idem pour l'éclairage, elle n'a pas besoin d'une forte lumière et pourra très bien s'épanouir à l'ombre de plantes plus hautes. Elle a la réputation d'être particulièrement résistante aux changements de paramètres de l'eau. Elle supportera très bien le transfert d'un aquarium à un autre au contraire de certaines plantes de cette espèce. Elle semble être moins sujette à la maladie spécifique des Cryptocorynes où l'on constate un pourrissement des feuilles avec l'apparition de petits trous au préalable.

Une grande Anubias qui peut atteindre pratiquement la trentaine de centimètres, elle en possède autrement toutes les mêmes caractéristiques que les autres membres de sa famille. Ses feuilles particulièrement robustes ne peuvent pas être mangées par les poissons, même par les célèbres poissons rouge pourtant bien voraces.

Small, delicate fern preferably attaching itself to a stump using nylon thread, until rooting itself onto said decoration. Do not cover the rhizome which could rot if covered. Co2 supply is recommended for its growth and the maintenance of an acidic pH for its water is the recommended way for the best results.
