  1. INTERNAL UV FILTER - GREEN KILLING MACHINE (9iw, 24w)

Makes fighting green water easier. UV radiation is effective in controlling bacteria, yeast, molds, and other pathogens (such as ich), in turn controlling algae growth. Water flows in direct contact with the UV lamp, intensifying its function of fighting green water. In addition, it can be hidden behind ornaments in your aquarium, cutting back on tubing around your tank.
  2. Marina i25 Internal Filter - For Aquariums up to 25 L (6.6 US Gal.)

The Marina i25 is a compact yet powerful internal filter for use with Marina goldfish aquariums or any other goldfish or tropical tank up to 25 liters (6.6 US gallons).
  3. Nubios Hang on Filter

Discover the Nubios filter, a compact and economical choice ideal for small aquariums.

  4. Seachem Aqua vitro Intake Pipe

The aquavitro® surgical grade stainless steel Intake Pipes offer an incredibly durable and sleek looking alternative to standard filter intakes for a variety of different types of aquarium filters or pumps.
  5. Seachem Aqua vitro Return Pipe

The aquavitro® surgical grade stainless steel Return Pipes offer an incredibly durable and sleek looking alternative to standard filter returns for a variety of different types of aquarium filters or pumps.
  6. Seachem Matrix 4L

Matrix™ is a high porosity biomedia that provides efficient biofiltration for the removal of nitrogenous waste. Matrix™ is a porous inorganic solid about 10 mm in diameter. Each liter of Matrix™ provides as much surface (>~700 m2) as 170 liters of plastic balls! Plastic bio-materials provide only external surface area, whereas Matrix™ provides both external and internal macroporous surface area. These macropores are ideally sized for the support of nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria. This allows Matrix™, unlike other forms of biomedia, to remove nitrate along with ammonia and nitrite, simultaneously and in the same filter.
  7. Seapora Poly Pad

    Seapora Poly Pad - 18 "x 10"

The Seapora Poly Pad is a dense mechanical filter pad fabricated to remove fine / coarse particulate matter from your aquarium system.
This process prevents obstructions in the biological media, thereby diminishing the risk of fish stress and disease.
It also helps keep your aquarium water crystal clear!

Seapora Filter Pads can be cut & shaped to fit any filtration system, such as: Canister Filters, Hang-On Filters, Trickle Filters, Pond Filters, Wet / Dry Filters, Filter Cartridge Frames, and other mechanical filter applications.
Great for both freshwater and marine applications.

  8. Seapora Sponge Filters

Designed for use with an air pump or powerhead, the Seapora Breeder Sponge Filter provides both mechanical and biological filtration. It is simple to assemble and features a weighted base for stability. The Breeder Sponge Filter is easily maintained (it can be rinsed in aquarium water and reused), and has a hollow center that's great for additives. Safe for use in breeding or fry aquariums.
  9. Sicce Shark Pro series

The SHARK PRO filters comes with a modular and flexible design. The filter can be used horizontally and vertically. The unique Sicce magnetic quick uncoupling system allows an easier manteinance operation. The filters are provided with an integrated aeration system and spray bar.

  10. Sicce Voyager 530gph Stream Pump

The Voyager Nano from Sicce was developed with silent operation and durability in mind. Revolutionary Sicce Technology includes an auto-cleaning/lubricating system and vibration absorbing magnet mount.

Filtration is without a doubt the most important aspect of successful aquarium keeping. Besides churning the water and creating surface movement, what exactly does an aquarium filter do?

To put it simply, an adequate filtration system will fitler your aquarium water in three different ways; mechanically, biologically and chemically.

Mechanical filtration implies the removal of debris and other particles such as solid fish waste or uneaten food from the water column. This type of filtration is achieved through the use of sponges and dense filtration floss, pads or wools. Mechanical filtration media should be replaced on a monthly basis, or as often as needed.

Biological filtration implies the filter's ability to house a healthy bacterial colony. Great care should be given when cleaning out filtration media, not to expose biological support to chlorinated tap water. A healthy bacterial colony will be able to detoxify fish waste by transforming lethal ammonia into far less dangerous nitrates. Common biological support products include Fluval Biomax and Eheim Substratpro. Biological filtration media has a longer lifespan than other filtration media.

The last and final aspect of filtration is chemical filtration. Chemical filtration implies the use of water-altering substances in the aquarium filter. These include substances that either remove certain undesirable elements from the water column or alter them on a chemical level. Chemical filtration media includes products like carbon, purigen, peat moss and Fluval ClearMax.
