Peaceful species but can become territorial; best kept with calm tank mates. Very attractive fish once fully mature with its silvery coloration.
Requires a well-planted aquarium to help establish territories and reduce aggression.
Prefers warm, calm water. Like all gouramis, the male can be territorial toward its own species.
